🔄 C4 → AOD CONVERSION

For Broncos currently equipped with the factory C4 automatic, this package replaces the three-speed C4 with a four-speed AOD automatic overdrive while retaining the Dana 20 transfer case.

The AOD/adapter assembly is approximately 1.5" longer than the stock V8 transmission assembly.

Installation requires:

🔄 MANUAL → AOD CONVERSION

This package can also be used to convert a 1966–1977 Early Bronco from a manual transmission to an AOD automatic overdrive while retaining the Bronco Dana 20.

Manual-to-automatic conversions require additional vehicle-side changes beyond the transmission and Dana 20 adapter.

Depending on the Bronco, installation may require:

Proper TV cable geometry and adjustment are mandatory with the standard automatic AOD valve body.

🔩 DANA 20 SHIFTER FITMENT (Shifter Not Included)

T-STYLE SHIFTER

The T-handle Dana 20 shifter is the easiest factory linkage to use with the AOD conversion and typically requires only minor modification.

J-STYLE SHIFTER

The factory J-pattern linkage can be retained, but modification or fabrication may be required because of the AOD/adapter location.

A twin-stick Dana 20 shifter may also be used where additional linkage clearance or independent transfer-case control is desired.
