This transmission uses an EXTERNAL TCM (T87 / T87A) mounted on the vehicle — NOT inside the transmission.

✔ No internal TEHCM is used on 8L90 units

✔ Customer retains and reuses existing TCM

✔ No TCM is included with this transmission

Programming / tuning is vehicle-side and required for proper operation.

Failure to properly program or calibrate the TCM may result in improper operation and will void warranty.
