The Twisted Punisher™ 8L90 is engineered for high-performance street and strip applications pushing beyond standard limits. Rated for up to 650 HP, this build incorporates critical billet upgrades, increased clutch capacity, and full hydraulic correction to handle higher torque, heat, and aggressive driving conditions.

Designed for cammed, boosted, and heavily modified setups where standard upgrades are no longer enough.

Vehicles equipped with Start/Stop (Auto Stop/Start) use a specific OEM-style upgraded torque converter.

✔ Includes upgraded OEM-style converter designed for Start/Stop operation

👉 Non-Start/Stop applications may allow for additional converter upgrade options where applicable

⚙️ TCM / PROGRAMMING NOTE (IMPORTANT)

This transmission uses an EXTERNAL TCM (T87 / T87A) mounted on the vehicle — NOT inside the transmission.

✔ No internal TEHCM is used on 8L90 units

✔ Customer retains and reuses factory TCM

✔ No TCM is included with this transmission

Proper tuning / calibration is REQUIRED for operation.

👉 Especially for:

• Cammed or boosted applications

• High horsepower builds

• Converter changes

• Swap applications

Failure to properly calibrate the TCM can result in improper operation and will void warranty.

⚙️ START/STOP SYSTEM (REQUIRED SELECTION)

This transmission is available in Start/Stop (Auto Stop/Start) and Non-Start/Stop configurations.

👉 You MUST select the correct option when ordering.
