Improves clutch apply timing, increases line pressure where needed, reduces clutch overlap, and delivers firmer, more positive shifts.

Valve body is inspected and updated to restore proper hydraulic operation and improve overall shift quality.

Includes a new internal wiring harness, updated internal mode switch, speed sensors, and temperature sensor to help maintain proper transmission operation and accurate shift timing.

New bushings throughout the transmission restore proper oil clearance and help reduce internal wear.

Every bonded piston, seal, sealing ring, gasket, and O-ring is replaced to maintain proper hydraulic pressure and clutch apply performance.

Every pump, drum, shaft, planetary, hub, case, center support, and other critical hard parts are individually inspected for cracks, spline wear, scoring, and other common failure points. Components that don't meet our standards don't make it into a Twisted Torque transmission.

The 6R140 was produced in several different configurations depending on engine, drivetrain, and vehicle application.

Available configurations include:

⚠️ TUNING & COOLING

Transmission temperature is one of the biggest factors affecting transmission life.

For trucks used for towing or equipped with aftermarket tuning, we strongly recommend a properly functioning transmission cooler and quality engine tuning.

Excessive heat or improper tuning can lead to:

• Torque converter failure
• Burnt clutch packs
• Slipping or harsh shifts
• Premature transmission failure

Proper cooling and tuning are the responsibility of the installer and vehicle owner.
